Mini split systems are a great way to heat and cool a home efficiently. But the electrical side of things is where a lot of installs fall short. Every mini split needs a properly rated disconnect within sight of the unit - and if there's an outlet involved, code requires GFCI protection. We set this one up the right way from the start.

We installed a weatherproof disconnect box with a GFCI outlet for two mini split units at this home. The disconnect gives the homeowner - and any technician down the road - a safe, local shutoff point right at the equipment. That matters more than most people realize. Without it, servicing the unit means tracing back to a breaker panel and hoping someone labeled things correctly.

Exterior electrical work has to hold up to the elements year after year. That means using the right enclosures, proper conduit runs, and hardware rated for outdoor exposure. A weather-resistant GFCI outlet isn't optional here - it's required, and it's what keeps the setup safe when rain, moisture, and temperature swings are part of the picture.

The conduit runs are clean and secured tight to the brick. Everything is contained, protected, and built with longevity in mind. This isn't the kind of work you want done halfway - a loose connection or undersized wire on a mini split circuit is a real problem waiting to happen. We make sure it's done correctly the first time so the system runs safely for years.

Whether you're adding a single mini split or running multiple units, the electrical setup underneath it all has to be solid. We handle the full scope - from wiring and disconnect installation to making sure everything meets code. That's exactly what we did here, and it's what we bring to every job.
